Tried that. Still the same unfortunately. The plug is a little sooty.

I havent done one yet although I took it to a local garage and he said he could tell by they way it started up one if the cylinders was low on compression. It sounds the same to me as it always has!!!

I'll check the inlet manifold gasket and see. Now that you mention this as when I usually cover up the free hole on the breather the engine chokes and stalls. Today when I covered up the hole it kept running as normal. Could this be causing the problem then and how would that effect it?
