I agree that prices on Ebay should be VAT inclusive where applicable, but for a VAT registered trader to have to pay Ebay a final value fee on a tax he's obliged to collect on behalf of the Government is a bit much, so I understand why he's done it.

As the need to add VAT is shown in the listing, like his postage charges, you are able to make an informed choice about whether to buy or not.
