My dad is into his N/A cosworth engines.
He started with a standard 4x4 bottom end with hi comp pistons a big ported head, solid lifters, different cams, twin 45's and different exhaust.
It made 217bhp on a engine dyno.
He since built a new stoked one which made it a 2.4. and ported to the absoloute max and the biggest valves possible. He is hoping for 260/280 - without the NOS
The most important thing is the head work which aint cheap!!!
