and think that because of the way the Gearing is lowered it takes stress off the tranmission in first gear and therefore does increase reliability slightly if you are launching it.
3.9 gearing is great mod and one of best things I had done to the Sierra
Mike didnt say that the gearing wont releieve strain potentially, he said that they arent any stronger.
Taking weight or power out of the car will also help lengthen a diffs life if launched a lot for example.
