When it first started it sounded fine, but after a few miles it sounded like it was on 3, when I stopped to check I saw the water was empty. Yes the (new 200) block is long studded, but I didn't fit them so I don't know about the O rings, sorry. By the oil feeds, do you mean the ones running through the middle of the block up into the head if that is the case the block was new and the head was skimmed and chemically cleaned.

it looks like you've got long studs - did you plug the oil feeds from the block to the head? did you fit the O rings properely on the studs?
