Id like to try a long stroke and a shorter rod to achieve the capacity, on a road only motor, but the opposite of martins, in that it would be designed NOT to rev, just to achieve a moderate power level (like 400-450bhp) at say 5000rpm but with monster torque for that power and much better torque than normal at very low rpm.
The very high piston speeds around TDC caused by that rod ratio should in theory allow a lot of timing to be dialled in even with fairly high compression as well.
Expensive thing to try "just to see" though obviously as it might end up being shit of course, you dont know with these things till you try, and so far everyone ive seen doing them seems to be doing it for huge power, not just for a moderate power level but very driveable.
