go for running a knife along it too.

even if its just one side then pry that side open a bit and it'll give u a bit of leverage to pull the rest off.

thats if its siliconed in there btw.
its ifs just tight on the gasket then wack it. it'll go in the end.

and try prying it and wacking it at the same time
