im an electrician. well more of an electrical engineer tbh.
i done a 4 year apprenticeship, which im guessing aint really an option for u.
im more comercial based doing mainly building maintenance.
qualifications ive got are
16th edition (soon to be 17th)
nvq level 3
hnc level 3

along with other bits and bobs.

BUT i work with people who used to be welders, painters, cleaners etc
they just get sent on a course (1 day at college a week for a couple of years) and then call them electricians.

try phoning a few agencies and see if they have anything where you could get some training.


electricians that do domestic stuff is probably slightly different but i dont know to much about it tbh.
they brought in news rules a few years ago i think. you'll have to ask someone who does it about doing houses if thats what u fancy trying.
