Default PLG problem

Hi,

Anyone here know about PLG, gas conversions, a friend has a problem
with a range rover 1993 L reg, 4.2 v8, classic,

Its started misfiring underload conditions and blowing the inlet truncking
off, we went to a friends m o t station to check the co% on plg,
and he said it should be approx 0.5%? seems like this may be wrong,

as on the way home my friend said its worse, no power foot to the floor,
so turned the co% up by a valve that is connected to a pipe that goes to the inlet manifold,

any ideas what it maybe causing the fault, would be appreciated as we don't want to play about with it as it is plg,
a little knowledge can be dangerous,
Regards Dave R.
