ok i had a look into this and seems the lights were causing some water BUT.........

i have also discovered something which must be a common problem in build quality!!! The air vents in the corners seem to be leakign in water too... the water runs over the top of the bumper and on top of the air vent dribbles down and gravity make is leak through the bottom of the vent hence why some of us are getting little puddles


SO ALL ESCORT OWNERS- it may be worth removing the back bumper and putting a thin layer os sealer round the vent... when my car goes in for work in a few weeks i shall be doing this also
