Yes, but only with 'Silvertop' pistons.

That's what Performance Ford did on their recent turbo 'Blacktop' after they found the Wossner pistons they'd bought (Silvertop) don't fit 'straight on the standard rods'.

Still haven't published that bit yet....

The block height is the same, but there are 4 different rod/piston length combinations:

1) Silvertop
2) European Blacktop
3) US Blacktop (inc ST170)
4) RS Focus
