Default S2 starting problam, flooding and not starting

Hi guys as above i've just put a new engine in a s2 and it took ages to get running with new engine, got it running all sweet yesterday . tried to start it earlier and it fired straight up then died it did keep firing but i pumped the throttle say 2 - 3 times and now its not even firing , it is sparking and getting petrol so i'm thinking its flooding its self. It was a first time starter with old engine . I'm unsure if some of the wires (plugs) round the back of the inlet are the correct way round as there is about 4 of them. I know the blue one is for the cold start valve but unsure on the others, Dont surpose anyone knows of the top of their head what way they go Or if this is a normal problam after engine change .

Thanks
