EXACTLY. Thats what I always tell people to do. Along with the following;

Run a cable for EVERY input your TV has, even if right now you won't be using it, cos I pretty much gaurantee at some point you will be!

I'd install a decent sized bit of conduit inside the wall (if you are gonna be plastering and painting) and along with your cables, run half a dozen lengths of string down it. Then when you need to install a new cable or replace a faulty one, you can simply tie the string to the new cable at the bottom, then pull it up the conduit from the top, or vice versa.
