I'm getting a PS3 delivered tomorrow

Now at the moment I currently have 5 metres of ethernet cable running from the router in the living room to the pc in the bedroom which really irritates the doris

Now the PS3 is built in wireless, but what are it's ranges ? Will it reach through the bedroom / kitchen into the lounge where the router is ??

I've tested it with my laptop and get good signal but how does a linksys wireless pcmcia card connecting to a linksys wireless router compare to the ps3 wireless adapter to the router ??
