he probably had a spare for them "just in case" moments sitting in the back of the motor anyway and more than likely spannered it into place and then carried on a few minutes later
those shots are probably from when he got home and took it apart during his tea break
I do have several spare engines, one of which has already been stripped/checked and re-assembled with special valves, big port head, h section rods, balanced bottom end , new flywheel and twin plate clutch. The damaged sump has slowed progress
