No idea what pay levels you looking for, but I know if it was me out of work, with a mortgage, 2 kids and a wife to think about, I wouldn't be fussy, any money is better than no money! I'm not in your area so can't help you out, but go to your local autoglass - they are always taking on staff. It's piss easy work, specially if you have an understanding of cars and mechanics in general (cos that'll help with problem solving and stripoping and refitting vehicles). Not the best pay packet in the world, but not the worst either. And they provide you with everything too - training, tools, van, etc etc.....
Gotta worth a shot even if just short term.....
