people (apart from alex) seem to have no clue about diesel tuning.

turning up the boost isnt bad because of reliability, infact it wont really affect it- whats it gonna do, run lean and det?

fact is ALL diesels run so incredibly lean as standard (well, do ALL the time, but as standard deffo) that upping the boost wont do a thing.

as alex said, add more fuel till there too much smoke or too high EGT than you can deal with, then add more air/boost, then add more fuel, and so on.

thats the basics, the rest is conventional engine/turbo tuning really, same as petrols, just less revving and lots more boost, hell, some tuned diesels run 250psi, yes, 250...

in answer to above question, t28 should go straight on as its a T2 flange
