Matey has just said it started and ran fine just now, as it had cooled down.
Coil still had some warmth.
I don't know how hot they should get, or why this one is getting as hot as it is - seems to be root of all the troubles.
Any ideas mate?

Had a couple cars with misfires that have been the amp, but dropped a pot on 4 pot, and 2 on 6 pots.
Never heard of them affected by heat, but that isn't conclusive.
Just they're not cheap, have to hunt the scrappies.
The coil is nearly new, problem remained when renewed
Wondering if it's 100% correct one.
