I`ve had many insurance policys and SOME companys allow it, others don`t. When i was with CIS, the cover note clearly stated that you could drive other cars providing that they are not registered to me, and i had the owners consent.

I even went to chelmsford police staition to confirm this, and they looked at my cover note and they told me the borrowed car did NOT have to be insured, just registered to another person, and i had their consent.

Some do, some don`t....
