Normal rattle can should last, all down to prep etc.
If you take your time, and have a decent surface for it to go onto etc.
I used a good amount of primer, pigment, then lacquer.
Once the lacquer is polished back, and you get and keep a layer or two of good
wheel sealant, should look like new for as long as you look after them, and keep them cleaned/sealed.
Keep them sealed and there's no need for aggressive or acidic cleaning methods,
simply shampoo will do.

Gleaming in the sun after months of use

Halfords can aren't particularly good, unsure of a decent paint for the colour you require, but for lacquer Wurth is very good
