Dan at Flux just told me that the car does not have to be insured.
As long as you don't leave it parked up you're fine.
Considering the policy no longer states the car needs someone insured on it, seems the way now.
Also, on TrafficCops etc, I'm sure they've done PNC checks to find car has no insurance, pulled it over, and driver has no insurance - and driver phones a relative to come and drive it home.
As per this thread's question, if it says vehicle needs to be insured, would not drive it without the registered keeper being insured on it, as it's not stated as insured by any policy.
