Don't confuse this with the CTS, coolant temperature sender, which is for the ECU, and has NOTHING to do with the gauge.
Unfortunately I do not know the layout of your engine so cannot tell you where it is.

if its the ohv engine its on the n/s of the engine i think on the thermostat housing just stick a paper clip in either end and if it reads full like tabetha said its ok
