It is deffo the way to go! I made mine myself- one end of the car is on stand i made, the other end is supported by the workbench
Judging by the state of your shell interior, the underneath's going to be a bit of a job!!! It would be worth it IMO. I'm really glad i took the time to make mine, and my shell needed nowhere near the amount of work yours is going to get
