Well im finally back in the fold. Must say it feels stange being back in an old turbo Ford, but it to fit a purpose i suppose. Below is more or less a copy of post i put on detailing world for a laugh, so some of text relates to that.
What do you think of the beast?
After getting it home this is what it looked like:
And the interior was just as bad:
So any normal person would just do a quick hover and wash and then not worry about it. But me being me and i expect some of you are the same, i cannot stand driving a dirty car! So i thought whats the harm in a quick detail of the old girl. lol
First of all i clean the intrior with a vac, the seats did not come up to bad, although i did do this hungover and it could do with a bit more time:
Next of a wash over, do you like the beading?

Oh dear!
After this stay i decided to rust proof the sills and tidy up a bit of rust starting on one arch, so i wire wooled this and but some rust kill over. The next step was to remove the tow bar. I hate these with a passion! So i decide to remove this but leaving the support bar hidden behind bumper so next owner could easily reatach tow bar if required.
Next of was to clay the car, as the paint was like sandpaper as it had been unloved. Unfortunatley i have no pics of this section. But as you can imagine the stuff the clay was pulling of was crazy.
Then pulled the car into the garage for the PC part. First of was to maks the rubbers:
Then the stages went as followed, Menza abvasive compound all over the car, the Chemical Guys Wet Finish, then sealed of with Poor boys blue natty paste. I have not got a pics of either stage, but i did do a comparison on the bonnet with one side finished and the other yet to be done:
So finished up by doing the plastics with Auto Glym bumper gel (still like this stuff). and cleaned windows with megs.
Finished article (sorry light was dieing by the end, and i did not get any good reflection shots. I was getting tired and cold and purly forgot! lol)
Not the best final pics sorry, but you get the idea. That my turbo charged Ford

Hopefully wont be having it too long though.
