out of curioscity, how accurate do you have to be on re-assemble?

if the thing was say 1mm out would it feck stuff? or have you got a bit to play with?

ive never dismantled a turbo or anytihng, just always wondered....

or can they only go back together one way, so you cant get it sightly off?
