Default BIG UP Fiesta Cos DAN "fiecosdan" Guys A legend

Just wanted to let Everyone know what a top bloke Fiecosdan is and how i can not recommend him highly enough to any and everyone who needs anything from general mechanics to fabrication work to even mild mapping

i have been to dan a few times in the past but when i got my car back and thought i was only running 0.8 bar i had no choice but to call dan up on Christmas eve as i had a track day "donno" on the 27th of December

after a pressure test dan found that i had a few boost leeks and after a few hours sorting out minor ones some caused by me and some not we had the car boosting back at 1.8 bar holding 1.5

I then asked Dan if he would like to come to Donno with me and even offered to pay for him to be a passenger as he had been working on my car, not expecting him to come as a on call mechanic he put it on himself to load the car up with numerous tools and spares anyway

Disaster struck at donno in the way of low oil pressure and gear box problems dan did try and drop the box to get me back out on track but unfortunately the whole box had to come out

28th at about 1:00 pm i rolled round dans with the car and we set about sorting out the box

a few hours later and the box was out





the problem was the gear selector cradle that sits on the top of the gearbox had come loose, whoever tightened it up last went a little over the top and what with aggressive gear changing it had just worked its way loose

there was only 1 fucked but we decided to Heli coil all 4 the top and side blots that was knowing it would never happen again




while dan was getting busy under the car i had a thought about my breather setup and the breather pipe that is meant to go to a catch tank has always fed straight back into the inlet on the track even with the new engine in there is a puff of smoke and im willing to be my bottom dolla that the reason for this is due to the breather chucking oil thought the engine

i had to make some sort of catch tank and check this out

also not to waste the Aeroquip i nicked a breather pot from dans gearbox that will hold fluid when its chucking it out it can go in the pot and then when it cooled down / Stops it can run back in the transfer box not needing to top it up

Had to take the down pipe off to get the box out anyway so why it was off dan said i may as well have another boss fitted as i can check the AFR and have the defi Ex Temp in at the same time







once dan started to put the box back in and the car back together i got busy with some heat wrap as me and Goldbum wasn’t sure if the exhaust was boiling the gearbox oil when the anti lag was on either way its i had a load of it and it cant be a bad thing

Like i said i cant thank Dan enough he is a Star and please anyone needing any work done on there car that they feel they are not 100% on Dan is more than Capable as you can see from the Above
