evo's are newer so expect better quality,

400bhp on the standard engine is about the limit running 1.6 bar.

beyond that a stroker kit is the best option with uprated clutch which will take you to 500bhp but then the turbo hits its limit, new turbo and intercooler will see 700 bhp+

gearboxes and diff etc are good for around 600bhp and clutch for around 400bhp

this is what mark@MAD advised me with my evo 6

not much difference with the 8 and 9 really but the 400 is not worth it as the lower bhp ones can be tuned just as much and cost less as they are not limited editions,

if i wanted a track toy an evo would be the way but if i wanted a car with charecter and show i would have the cosworth
