Dont want to get involved in a religious arguement but ponder this.
If you are correct & their is no afterlife, the religious of all denominations have lost nowt they are no doubt happy with their lives, however if they are correct & their is an afterlife/judgement you my
young sir have a slight problem. Something was here before the universe & as we dont know or comprehend 'what' its best to have an open mind.

The vast majority of people in all religions cause no harm or wish harm on anyone its the fanatics, Fundalmentalists & loud mouths that cause all the hatred & bother, rather like on this Forum always the same biggoted idiots that say everything is black & white it AINT.

But if there is a possible afterlife and we are going to get judged on something as to weather we do or don’t go on to it then I would like to think that it is for being either a good or bad person, not for being a religious one. Or would I be discriminated for not believing in a god that neither me you or anybody else has ever seen
. As you say though the religious are " no doubt happy with their lives", but I can assure you I am also.
