Not 100% sure but I think we have sold to someone called Filip in Belgium and he paid us by IBAN transfer.

If you want me to check this for you PM me his eBay user name and I will check our accounts.

From what I remember there was no problem with the transaction.

Your IBAN details are usually shown on your bank statement on the first page.

As far as worrying about giving out your bank details - you are only giving out your account number and sort code and as I remember other people saying on similar posts - this is no more risky that sending someone a cheque as that has the same details on it.

The only other thing I would say with IBAN transfers is to make sure the buyer does the transfer in Pounds Sterling and that they select to pay the fees at their end (otherwise this will be deducted from the payment when you receive it).
