I cant believe you didnt fck the crank. When my engine knocked on a rebuild the oil pressure dropped to 5 psi and the engine would wanna cut out..

number 3 main cap had distorted from overheating due to blockage.
The remainder of the bearing went through the whole engine,, I took out my crank, my 200 block and my bran new t34.!!
U were kinda lucky,,, UNLUCKY mate tho ..

U sure the valves didnt hit the piston? Very similar shape.
