you still got to make the mould though.
its not hard to make a mould though as you use the bonent or boot as the plug (template) and make the mould round that.
with the bonnet, foam matted in to it while laying up with give it the strenth it needs as bonnets are norm pined down rather than used on the hinges, but it can be made to fit onto the hinges still.

as for boot lid, if i was laying it up i would have a mould forthe outer skin and a mould for the innder frame then bond the two together and again it can be made in a way to use the hinges too.

its easy for me to say this that its easy as i used to do laminating, and i used to also build the wind turbine blades and still know people there that can get me bits and bobs like the very very strong glues to bond stuff as well as the mould release fluid, anyone one here making it would prob have to buy it and its not cheap stuff.

a carbon bonnet or boot lid would be good, but if you plan to leave it in its raw finished state i.e unpainted use clear resin and resin that stays clear other wise it will go yellow and look toss.
