Having a little bit of bother with the PC.
Windows won't recognise both my CD-RW and DVD-RW drives.
Both drives are physically installed and have been there for ages with no problems. Both drives are recognised in the BIOS so they are configured correctly with regards to the IDE chain.
In the windows hardware list, both drives are listed under the CD-Rom part, but they are highlighted with a yellow triangle and a black exclamation mark and windows says this about each one:
Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37)
Never had this before. I have tried disabling and enabling, uninstalling and reinstalling and a new hardware sweep after a reset, but nothing.
Nothing is showing up as conflicting at all and no new hardware has been added and nothing removed recently that would cause this problem
Anyone any idea please let me know
