The ECU will be getting the wrong data from the MAF. The ECU and MAF need to match or you are stuffed.

Test this by disconecting the MAF and going for a spin.

Your ECU will also not know you have changed cams so will not be able to change igntion and fuelling. Get an RS1800 TB, MAF and ECU.
