Although saying that there are a couple of people round the corner from me who have had a few MK1's ecsorts and the odd early cortina thrown in for good measure. One of them is well into his 50's american cars as well. Don't actually 'know' them though.
I am sure I'd remember a V8 Sierra if I saw / heard it.
Maybe we can get a Thatcham group together for the next PF meet in Arborfield ???
