you are able to adust the clearance to a more precise level, they dont bloody burst or cause a taping noise when they fail and also they are able to withstand a higher rev limit due to not needing to fill with oil r the pressure of keeping them up.

if i remember rightly tho you need a special cam to work with them, something like the newman kit.
