Anyway having a bigger resolution means it looks better basically because there are more pixels per inch on the screenm but to keep the graphics setting the same you need a decent graphics card
No not really playing old games just play everything at that resolution as its the same as my desktop?

my pc spec is....
Vista Ultimate
Core 2 duo E6850
4 gig of crucial memory
2 x 320Gb Sata
Ati 512mb ddr3 x1950 pro (?)
VIA High Definition Audio (?)
32" HD lcd tv

To be fair i've not tried playing any games in higer resolution as never found out what the difference is?

Mostly play GTR2, RACE 07, Test Drive Unlimited etc

you play at 1024x768 on a 32" screen it will just be stretched to fit then, you should set it as high as it will go, if its a tv and not a pc screen then it will be around 13XXx something or other i forget now.
Not really sure what you mean?

It's connected from pc to tv through the hdmi cable but i was thinking as it is lcd does it matter if it is not a monitor as i thought monitors were lcd (tft?)

I'll have a bash at gtr2 in a sec and see if i can see the difference
