Seems a good option for price vs performance
Im deff guna go for an SLI board though, as it means i can easily add another 8800 GT later down the line if i fancy it (can afford it).
I'll see if i can find a suitable motherboard with SLI support and a p35 chipset though (if this is possible ?

) as that may come in handy for the future
Can anyone suggest / find me a suitable motherboard?
It needs to
Support dual / Quad core
Socket 775
SLI support
Atleast 6 sata ports, some external ones would be nice
Raid 0, 1, 5 (just raid 1 would do)
Wifi (ideally)
SLI support
Hardware overclocking (in the bios)
support 8GB
Gigabit ethernet
Plenty of USB ports
ALSO, as an after thought, this new ATI card, any details on it?, rough guide price?
Would it work if i bought an X1950 pro now to keep me going, and then add a newer ATI card aswell in crossfire, is this an option?
Will the new series ATI work in crossfire with the X1950 range?
Normally its two identical cards, not differing specs like that would be.
And i still think you'd be wasting money anyway, as you said your going to buying a 1950pro for nearly £100 only to throw it away in a month or two in favour of a proper graphics card

so even if this new ATI does blow everything away its still going to cost well over £200 and you can buy a se cond 8800GT for slightly more than what you would have spent on the 1950pro.
Just my 2 cents
