Len, if the cable snapped the pedal would not travel back to the original point and stay at the floor... This has happened to me a few times

Taking the box out of a 4x4 aint too difficult. Took me and me bro an afternoon to do without rushing andour first time @ touching a 4x4. Will let ya know bout putting it back in
