It provides a more direct and unimpeeded flow to the inlet being a straighter route with less bends or restrictions.
Better flow than the std fiesta inlet (granted wont be pusshing the FRST inlet anywhere near its limits but it still isnt great)
Better lookng in the engine bay.
Just to name a few.
Air charge HAS to go through the turbo
A std RST inlet isnt a major resitriction to power is it
better looking
