no you will need an HD source for full HD still

Full HD (as they are spouting in marketing) is 1080p. so any source that gives this HD DVD blue ray ps3 etc

the TV you mention is the one my brother bought a few months back....its awesome, far superior to my LG, but it did cost twice as much
