personally, if going for a camcorder i would never have anything other than a sony because i have had them before and think that thay're top notch.

i would be going for a hard drive bi def bugger, but i guess you don't want to spend that much, but how about something like this?

have not tried it personally, but it looks a good spec. for the price of less than £300, which is cheap in my book
