think its because some of the places they explore could resemble scenes from the film, or a '28days later' fallout scenario, ie everything abandonned and no sign of life etc.
cool as fuck, ive done one or two little missions when i was younger, chatterly whitfield coal mine was walking distance from my house so that gone explored all the time! and a small abandonned secure mental unit not far from a mates house. that was fucking scary shit!
