When a woman stands by a bloke as he is building up his business and helps and supports him along the way (or vice versa these days) then I feel they are entitled as they have been a part of that success, but to turn up 40 years later, fuck him a few times, and then think you are entitlted to half of his life's work is just a fucking joke.

She should only be entitled to half of what they have jointly earned in the period that they have been together. Why should she get her hands on the money before that time. Surely that money should be kept for Paul and Linda's children and their families.
