I "thought" Martin did that in his initial post.....
"a held 8200rpm" does indeed sound like it was in top gear, as in any other gear it wouldnt be "holding" 8200, it would be accelerating like buggery still.
I suspect you have read a little too much into the wording though mike.
Either way, with that sort of boost at that sort of RPM its going to be QUICK by any standards
it could imply that the 8200 rpm was held on the brakes, the rev limit or on a chassis dyno - or it could imply that the boost was held at that level up until that rpm.
don't make assumptions is the key here, i suspect
