On the Heated front screen subject. Could you not take the wiring from say and XR2i / turbo as prob be relatively the same and just use a mk2 switch to keep it customary.
I did think of that mate but its trying to find a loom for the heated screen i did see one on ebay a while ago and it was some thing like £40
not in any rush so will keep my eye out but if one dont turn up i dont think it will be that hard to make on if it come's to it

Take it your going to have it wired in on a seperate switch fitted below the rear heated switch
Yes mate it will be seperate, but my fiesta hasnt even got a heated rear window
