why do you need to remove the intermidiate shaft from the sump?

the diff won't come out with the crossmember in the way
the engine won't come out with the diff in place
so much easier to let it ot the bottom in one big lump and remove it that way

the shafts will just pull out on both sides if yanked hard enough and the steering intermidiate shaft needs unbolting form the builkhead where it joins the column

other than that, brake lines and engine fuel and electrics are all you need to ditacth
