heres a question for you,

what gives you the right to say that a has a value of 1 and c has a value of 3 and m has a value of 13??

That's not a mathematical formula, its just you assigning different numbers to different letters.

It in no way suggests any sort of proportion. They are not part of the same thing so how can you say they represent a percentage of something that isn't the same?
