radders y missus has problems with her ears and she has times when she goes deff and thats gonan be permanant when shes older too

ive also lost most the hearing in my right ear from when i burst my ear drum and it aint come back ( even though i was tol it would)

if its one ear he WILL addapt to it ( i now use my other ear when i use my phone,,, erms thats the only difference if im honest

if its both, then its hard but my nan was deff since she was born untill the witch died and she seemed to cope well,, she even had 5 children
