Our Bathroom is 4 metres long, by 1.8 metres wide.

We have a 1200x900 walk-in shower, using a Kaldewei steel tray that is flush with the floor. We have a massive Hansgrohe rain type shower-head and a thermostatic mixer.

The bath is a 1900x800 double-ended (fnar fnar!!) Oval one, boxed in.

It's seen there in the temporary enclosure that I built with a tiled top. We are now having a custom-made painted glass top made for the Bath enclosure, will post pics when thats done, in the next couple of weeks. It's costing over £700!!

We are also having a glass top made for this basin unit.

The whole bathroom is tiled up to the ceiling in 600mmx300mm Gloss white tiles with narrow grout-line. The floor is tiled with Black Porcelain tiles that look like natural stone and we have underfloor heating. I have never come across anything that was as hard to cut as those tiles. Thank god not many holes were needed as most pipes are recessed into the wall.

There are 10 GU10 style 35w Halogen lights as I wanted a clean/clinical look, but we will add a dimmer soon as we don't always want it that bright in there!!

The mirror is a huge one, again, custom made. Proportional in size and shape to the bath. I regret not making it heated. I definately recommend that, its inexpensive.

It has been an unfinished project for some time now, but its been a good thing as we have been able to use it, find out what works and make changes. For example, the tiled bath enclosure is highly impractical, the grout lines on the horizontal surface just get grubby. It is also too high. So, I am now rebuilding it, lowering it by around 70mm and adding the glass top. I plan to do something with the side-panels too, like add recesses for storing towels and low-level vents as the twin-extractors remove so much air from the bathroom that it is difficult to shut the door!!
