the original engine had done 110,000 miles when MSD had it, and on the very last power run before I had the car back following the T34.48 on EEC IV management conversion, the headgasket let go and melted no 4

... Not Stu's fault at all, he was more gutted than me I think

, but ultimatly was asking a lot for 350BHP out of an engine that long in the tooth.
So ripped it all out, luckily damage was minimal, so nothing ££££ to replace

. Decided between MSD and me to go for a low lag 430ish BHP conversion to see how far we can push the EEC IV ecu, and I am just rebuilding the engine now

...
Spec will be:
7.4 :1 CC'd on .5 o/s mahles with valve cut outs,
std/std polished crank,
ARP rod bolts
EEC IV YBT 200 block WRC long studded ( centre 6 )
ported polished head ( 25/26mm ports by ex F1 engineer

- work of art!)
CR Engineering T38 to MSD's spec for low lag
BD 14 cam from blank inlet, std exhaust cam, vernier pulleys
63lbs siemens injectors, mongoose exhaust.
big wing sump.
+ a twin plate clutch with hydraulic centre push conversion, mullet straight cut box, 909 thickwall front diff etc
Hoping for around 430ish BHP and 400ish Lbs of torque
engine hopefully will be in the car next few weeks, run in, then off to MSD for round 2
